Just recently, the UAE’s first “water home” has become a new sight on Dubai Canal as it berths at Marasi Business Bay.
According to Dubai Properties, the real estate master developer behind the project, there will be more homes floating into Marasi over the coming days as part of the company’s transformation of Business Bay.
Once completed, Marasi Business Bay will not only reportedly feature state-of-the-art water homes with pools and that are surrounded by floating restaurants. Dubai Properties says that it will also see the Pier, the Marina and the Park that will ultimately consist of 800 berths, stretch along the Dubai Canal, making it the region’s first purpose-built yachting hub at the core of the city.
Valued at AED 1 billion, the mixed-use development was launched by Dubai Properties Group, a member of Dubai Holding, at last year’s Cityscape Global. Commenting on the project, the company says it is well on track to becoming the most sought-after waterfront destination in the city. Last month, Lonely Planet ranked the larger Business Bay district among the must-see neighborhoods in the world.
